• If you don't already have a PayPal account, click the PayPal image on the left (you will be redirected to PayPal's site to create a PayPal account).
• If you have already applied for PayPal's Payments Pro and have an
ASecureCart account, then you only need to grant permissions to ASecureCart.
- Go to https://www.paypal.com and sign in.
- Click on the Profile section under the My Account Tab.
- Under the Account Information column, click on the API Access link. If you do not see the link then your PayPal account is not a Business account and you will need to upgrade it as described here.
- On the API Access page, click on the Grant API Permission option.
- For the Third Party Permission Username, enter: info_api1.asecurecart.net (note - the 9th character is the number one, not a lower case "L"). Click the "Lookup" button.
- Check on the following API permission options:
Use Express Checkout to process payments
Process your customers' credit or debit card payments
NOTE - if using PayPal's Recurring Payments feature, you must also check the "Create and manage recurring payments" permission.
